3 Top Spots To Beat The Heat

Share

Summers in the Bay Area may get hot, but fortunately we have quite a few family-friendly places where we can find reprieve. Of course, living so near the coast gives us plenty of beach options to enjoy this time of year, but here are a few more great ideas:

Sharks Ice San Jose

This is one of the coolest places in the South Bay to escape summer’s heat waves. Rent skates for a small fee and indulge in rounds of indoor ice skating with friends and family any day of the week. Book your spot during public skating hours.

Calibunga Water Park

Formerly San Jose’s Raging Waters, Calibunga just opened this June and is teeming with fun for the whole family. Splash pads, water slides, a wave pool, and much more are available to refresh you after a hot summer day. Purchase tickets and rent one of their many cabanas if you’d like a shady place to hang out.

Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk

Remember those beaches I mentioned? Santa Cruz Beach is arguably one of our area’s best-known beaches, AND it boasts an admission-free amusement park filled with fun rides and games, carnival treats, and cute shops! Unwind with a few rides and yummy eats, then cool down with a dip in the ocean. Purchase wristbands or tickets ahead of your visit.

These are just a few fun local places to beat the heat. Want more recommendations? Just reach out; I’d love to help!
