I simply love this time of year when the outdoors shine and we wake to cooler mornings. Getting outside and seeing the fall beauty in our incredibly bountiful area is one of my favorite things to do.

Below are some fun fall events I hope you can get out to enjoy:

 

  • Fall Wine Walk, Willow Glen | Oct. 8 

Come spend the afternoon sipping and strolling beautiful Lincoln Avenue from 2pm-5pm. Purchase tickets for wine tasting at willowglen.org.

  • Beer & Wine Walk, Los Gatos | Oct. 15

Sip tastings from dozens of local wineries and breweries in charming downtown Los Gatos, 1pm-4pm. For more details, see losgatoschamber.com.

  • Oktoberfest, Downtown Campbell | Oct. 15-16

Voted Best South Bay Festival! It’s an entire weekend of live music, arts and entertainment, a costume contest, KidsZone, and of course, great German food and beer! Free admission. Visit campbelloktoberfest.com.

  • 50th Annual Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival, Downtown Half Moon Bay | Oct. 15-16

Kicking off festivities is the World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off on Monday, Oct. 10. This World Pumpkin Festival celebrates all things about the Great Gourd. Enjoy live music, harvest-inspired arts and crafts, pie-eating contests, pumpkin carving, and a parade – plus food, beer, and wine! Free admission. Find out more at pumpkinfest.miramarevents.com.

  • Vine to Wine, The Mountain Winery, Saratoga | Oct. 23

Celebrate the end of harvest and taste award-winning Santa Clara Valley wine at the gorgeous Mountain Winery. Enjoy savory gourmet bites, tastings from the bubbly and dessert wine bar, and live music. See the event website for details and tickets.

  • Creepy Crawly Halloween, Downtown Campbell | Oct. 30

It’s back! A two-hour community-wide costume party in the streets! Bring your two- and four-legged little ghouls, goblins, and superheroes to downtown Campbell’s haunted district for some scary good fun and trick-or-treating, 4pm-6pm. Learn more at downtowncampbell.com.

  • Winchester Mystery House, Halloween Haunt, San Jose | Sep. 30-Oct. 31

The South Bay’s biggest Halloween Haunt! After a two-year hiatus, Winchester Mystery House presents a new terrifying chapter, “Unhinged: Nightshade’s Curse.” For 13 nights, guests will be horrified by the Winchester Mystery House’s scariest show to date.   • Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch, Morgan Hill | Open daily from Sep. 26-Nov. 6

Fun for the whole family! Voted Favorite Patch in the Bay Area. Explore and enjoy the farm with a ride on the Express Train or hayride, a newly doubled and re-imagined corn maze, Pumpkin Blasters, and so much more at this fall-time community tradition for over 80 years. New this season is the 1st Annual Spina Farms Candy Crawl on Oct. 31 from 4pm-9pm. For more information and tickets, see their website.
