Crested Butte

Just off the beaten path in central Colorado lies this stunningly scenic mountain community where I enjoyed working and living a very active outdoor lifestyle for seven years. Crested Butte’s soul-filling beauty and tight-knit community cast a spell on visitors to return again and again.

Adventurous. Soul-Filling Beauty. Authentic Mountain Lifestyle.

“Not only does the scenic beauty rival any other in the Mountain West, but the recreational pursuits here are abundant,” states Scout Walton, Realtor® with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, whose family owned the ski area for three decades. “Skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, tennis, boating, and more call us every weekend. Enjoying the alpenglow on the back deck after a scrumptious meal with friends may be our favorite past-time.” Crested Butte’s unpretentious attitude, colorful town, and epic mountain terrain attract people looking for an adventurous, authentic mountain lifestyle. Scout Walton

RALPH OUTLAW WALTON III is well known around Crested Butte by his nickname, “Scout,” since he first moved to the Gunnison Country in 1970 when his father and uncle purchased the ski area from seven Kansas banks. I worked together with Scout in the late 1990s at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) where he served as CFO, SVP of resort operations and president of CBMR Real Estate. Among other accolades, his real estate project experience includes three large-scale master-planned communities: Prospect at Mt. Crested Butte, the Club at Spanish Peaks and Saddlehorn. He is a consummate professional and loves to share his intimate knowledge and passion for the community of Crested Butte and mountain town real estate with everyone he meets.
